Spotlight: U.K. floods recede, report on future of flooding released

Torrential rainfall in the United Kingdom led to vulnerable areas being flooded and roads shut down. 

News from the United Kingdom, just as the rain is pouring down in Central, Eastern and Northern England, is that risk of flood will quadruple by 2035 – impacting people and livelihoods. U.K. government climate advisors urge for adaptation action in flood defenses, especially in low-lying areas, to take place in order to reduce the impact by approximately 74 percent
